The AI Responder may provide source references and can hand off complex or out-of-scope questions to an Altera subject-matter expert. As a beta feature, responses may contain errors or omissions, so please review the sources and verify technical guidance against official Altera documentation before implementation. A Quartus® Prime 90-Day Evaluation License has been generated, but it does not cover the required Ethernet IP cores: Triple-Speed Ethernet – OpenCore Plus (00BD) Low Latency 10Gbps Ethernet MAC – OpenCore Plus (0119) Request: Can temporary/evaluation licenses be issued for these IP cores, and how can they be generated?Number of ports required for a floating license
I have added the server name and port to license.dat: SERVER servername mac address 10000 VENDOR alterad C:\FLEXlm\alterad.exe # VENDOR mgcld C:\FLEXlm\mgcld.exe USE_SERVER I have confirmed that port 10000 is open using Test-NetConnection. However, even when specifying "10000@servername" in the Quartus License Setup, the "Current license" is not recognized. The "Current license" is recognized if I temporarily open all ports on the server side, but I cannot keep all ports open permanently. Are there any other ports required besides port 10000? Hello everyone, I just bought my DE10 standard board for my graduation project. Unfortunately, my university doesn't provide a license for the Quartus standard, and I need more than 90 days to finish the project. Is there any way to get a license as a student for free? My project is about an AI accelerator, so I need the standard version; the lite one isn't enough. Thank you,
New Computer can NOT generate free license
Hello, In June 2026, I have generated one license for the Questa-Intel FPGA Starter Edition 2023.2 on my old computer. And today I got a new computer and I have created a new Host with the new Computer Name, Computer Type, License Type, Primary Computer ID. When I clicked Generate License, I got this error : Is there anyone who knows how to solve this issue? Thank you very much
License for Questa Starter Edition will not work
I tried looking up other posts for this issue, but none of the answers people gave helped. This is the error that shows up after I downloaded the license and set SALT_LICENSE_SERVER to point to it. I tried creating and pointing LM_LICENSE_FILE and MGLS_LICENSE_FILE too. It didn't work either. The address is correct too. I don't know what is going on"Avalon I2C (Master) IP" is missing from IP Catalog on some 26.1 installations
Our group of Quartus users has encountered some scenarios where the "Avalon I2C (Master) IP" is missing from the IP Catalog of Quartus 26.1 on Windows machines. It is working well on other Windows machines and Linux machines in the same network. A Windows machine missing the IP: A Linux machine where it works; Installing Patch 0.11 did not solve the issue. All relevant environment variables seem to be equal on both working and non-working machines. Any ideas?
