Free Licence for Max+PlusII
Hello to all, the ALTERA Support request to ask my question here in this forum, so I am here ;-) I tried to request a legacy Licence file form my old Max+PlusII (baseline 10.2) SW. I got the login, the page, but when I have to add my machine ID (which is based om the MAC address, for example) it always answers with invalid ID. How can I request a licence for this old SW (optimum an unlimited one ...) Greetings Chris OE3CPAGenerate License by Activation Code Not Working
I am trying to generate a QuestaSim FPGA Edition license that was purchased by entering the activation code I received. When I search on the activation code I get the error: "License Generation Not Allow When Web Display Flag Is False". I get this same error when entering a junk code just to see what happens. I have included a screenshot of the error. I've tried on an account registered to my work email and my personal and I get the same error every time. I also get the same error when attempting to search for a license before I've registered a computer and after I've registered a computer. Wondering if this is an Altera side issue that is affecting everyone or just me.
Quartus Prime license rehosted, unable to run
Hi, We are unable to use our Quartus Prime license after switching to a new physical laptop. Product: FPGA Dev Tools Quartus® Prime Software SW-ONE-QUARTUS The license was rehosted from the old computer ID to the new primary computer ID. The rehost/update appears to have completed successfully, but the license still cannot be activated/used on the new machine. Environment/details: Windows 11 FlexNet Licensing v11.19.6.0 Single-server setup License file path: C:\flexlm\license.dat lmgrd TCP port: 1800 Relevant log excerpt: (lmgrd) Starting vendor daemons ... (lmgrd) REStarted lmutil It looks like lmgrd is trying to start lmutil as a vendor daemon, and also reports: Attempt to start a vendor daemon named "lmgrd" Could this indicate an incorrect or malformed license.dat file, for example an invalid VENDOR/DAEMON line or wrong path to the vendor daemon? What should we check or change to make the Quartus license work after rehosting?
New Quartus Prime License - Missing Device and Features
We have purchased a new Quartus License and FIR Compiler II License and are getting the following errors when trying to compile an old design on Quartus 12.1 SP1. Error (119013): Current license file does not support the EP3C40F324I7 device Warning (12190): FIR_Compiler (6AF7_0012) will use the OpenCore Plus Hardware Evaluation feature Warning (12190): Nios II Processor (6AF7_00A2) will use the OpenCore Plus Hardware Evaluation feature My understanding is the FIR Compiler and NIOS II Processor licenses are not available anymore. Please advise on how to resolve these issues!
IP Base Suite (NCO, FFT & FIR) not included in ASAP licenses
Dear Altera The NCO, FFT and FIR IP core licenses were previously in the IP Base Suite Package, as part of the Altera partner licenses. This package is not included in the ASAP partner licenses anymore. It also does not seem to be included in the (SW-PARTNER-IPA) license, as I don't see their license numbers there. How do obtain licenses for these 3x IP cores as part of the ASAP partner licenses? Kind regards Piet
Quartus 23.2 – Design Security Feature License Required
Hello, I am using Quartus Prime Pro 23.2 and would like to enable the Design Security feature as described in the documentation: "To enable the design security feature, you can obtain a license file from Intel FPGA Technical Support." SSLC Login Issue – "You need to enroll" loop after OTP verification
Hi, I am facing an issue with the Altera Self Service Licensing Center (SSLC). Problem: - I enrolled at licensing.altera.com successfully - I receive the OTP verification code on my email - After entering the OTP correctly, it shows: "Access to the SSLC portal requires registration Register here to get started." - This creates an infinite loop and I cannot access the portal at all I need to generate a free Questa Intel FPGA Starter Edition (SW-QUESTA) license for use with Quartus Prime Lite 24.1. Things I already tried: - Enrolled with two different email IDs - Tried Chrome, Edge, and Incognito mode - Cleared cookies and cache. Could you please either: 1. Fix my account access, OR 2. Hello, I am a beginner using the Questa FPGA starter edition for practicing SystemVerilog coding. I downloaded the 2025.2 Version and obtained the fix lisence according to NIC ID (my PC's Ethernet adapter's MAC address). And I set accordingly the environment variable(LM_LICENSE_FILE and SALT_LICENSE_SERVER) pointing to the .dat file. The software Questa run successfully. But when I want to use a .do script to run a simple SV simulation, the process failed and showed as attachment 1. The programm is simple and I believe it has no advanced grammar (attachment 2 and 3), but it still failed. Is that the limination of Starter Edition or problem about lisencing? Thank you in advance.
