MAX 10 has many security features starting with simple copy protection for CFM content, 128 Bit AES encrypted configuration, secure JTAG mode. Review MAX® 10 FPGA Configuration User Guide
As stated, use Quartus Prime Std. edition.

Max10 only supports limited design security feature. It can't implement design authentication or security key programming like Agilex devices.

What is the correct approach to get the FPGA content secured? This means making sure it cannot be read out via JTAG. Therefore, how can the read-back process be prevented?
