since I moved to Quartus 23.1, Signal tap is almost unusable. Each time I click on a button, a tab or when a capture is triggered, the checkboxes in the Hierarchy display pane become unchecked automatically and the signals disappear. I have to check them manually to see the signals again.

New ContributorI tested with standalone Signal tap 22.1 and it has the same bug but 20.1 works fine.
I also see that the Intance manager bar is empty, I cannot start an acquisition.

I can't reproduce from my side. Does the problem still exist if re-create a new .stp file?

New ContributorYes I tried to create a new stp but this is still there.
However, I tried with other quartus projects and some work while some others don't.
Super ContributorThis is a known issue with Quartus Standard and occurs specifically with the Windows OS. Currently, you may need to check it periodically to ensure that the setting remains as intended.

Seems like this bug only occurs on specific project. Thanks @RichardTanSY_Altera for clarifying this is the known issue and fixing had been WIP.

New ContributorI just point out that this bug not only occurs when the trigger occurs but also when almost any action is done in the Signal Tap window. This is very painfull and hope it is fixed soon.
