Hi, I have been getting the below licence error when simulating / opening Quartus. I have checked my license, it's set up on my HP laptop in the environmental conditions, License set up in Questa and re-generated a license but I can't seem to find a route cause or a solution. Is anyone able to help?

Could you check whether the NIC ID associated with the license file is correct? Also, can you confirm if this is a Fixed type license?5.5.1. Identifying Host's NIC IDRegards,Richard Tan

Which environment variable are you using for it?

If you're using latest version, please use this environment variable SALT_LICENSE_SERVER for the fixed license.

Do you see any error message in the Questa Transcript Window?
Please search for "intelqsimstarter" within the .dat license file. If it is not found, you will need to generate a no-cost license from SSLC using the following selection: Questa* – FPGA Starter Edition
*Remember to update the environment variable (LM_LICENSE_FILE) with the newly generated license file. Please refer to the section titled "Setting Up the Questa*-Intel® FPGA Starter Edition Software License" in the user guide

  During the questa launch I receive the following. I have looked at my license and it includes the 'intelqsimstarter' as shown in the black image - I am completely lost on what to do?

  I still get the same message. I am using the 24.1 lite edition, so my path needs to link to LM_LICENSE_FILE, I think? Are there are other suggestions?

    Did you try SALT_LICENSE_FILE as suggested?
