Lantiq Falcon SoC: FALC ON-S EASY98035ET SDK&documentation request

I am reposting here as i structed by @pujeeth:

Hi,
I requested source code (SDK) of SoC mentioned in the subject from the producer of the end product: HALNy. The exact model of the end product is: HL-GSFP (GPON SFP tranciever) and they have send me back to owner of the SoC so Intel (Lantiq) claiming that due to NDA they cannot provide me with source code and I should request here. How do we proceed? I saw similar requests here.

The kernel is Linux and the OS is OpenWrt so both GPL.

If possible some documentation would be helpful as well. I would like to improve it as a person not associated with any company.

  • Hi @AreYouLoco,

Thank you for posting in Intel community forum, hope all is well and apologies for the delayed in response.

There seems to be several clarification which we wish to have:

    - The mention product (from Halny; Model : HL-GSFP) does not seems to be owned by our (Altera) company, and not related to our FPGA. Hence would suggest the more available support contact would be on the following link (https://halny.com/helpdesk/)

    - The mention of Lantiq is a separate company which is not related to Intel/Altera. If the FPGA product you have issues with is Lantiq, would suggest to get in touch with their support.

    Hope that clarified.

      Hi Manoranjan,

I am reffering to https://halny.com/portfolio/hl-gsfp/ module it runs on Lantiq Falcon EASY98035ET SoC. As I stated many times previously. The issue that I have is UART pins are connected to TX_FAULT and LOS pins on SFP. So periodically I encounter link loss. I am looking for a way to disable those two GPIO pins loosing uart access anyway done in a stupid way against GPON specification.

Additionally TX_FAULT and LOS are signal inverted. But this has been worked around by kernel developer RMK. Another issue worked around is EEPROM of that module doesnt advertize 2,5GBps.

I hope this give you a good overview of what I am trying to fix.
  • Hello AreYouLoco,

    Greetings for the day!

The HALNy HL-GSFP product is not owned by Intel, and Lantiq is a separate company not affiliated with Intel. We recommend contacting Lantiq support. If you face any other issues, feel free to reach out, and we'd be happy to assist.
