Reg Agilex5 A5ED028BM16AE5S SoC - USB3.0

Team,

I like to use USB3.0 block from HPS and like to know how much mini data rate is transferred for USB3.0 from Agilex5, any information on benchmark.

      Hi Kian,

      Customer want to use HPS for USB3.0 implementation

      so want to know if can transmit 5Gbps or less speed.

      Hi Amol,

      From the result it is in megabytes format on USB3, so USB theoretical max speed  is 625MB/s (5000Gbps). From the test result (in previous post) we conducted with our removeable USB thumb drive is around ~300MB/s (~2.4 Gbps) speed.

       

      Real-world speed is typically in the 300–450 MB/s range due to USB overheads (Line encoding, Protocol & Packet etc) and also depending on the device connected to the USB. In our test using removeable USB, thus write speed is always slower than the read speed for USB media.
