Super ContributorYou shouldn't be starting it from the Start menu. Open the Nios V command shell and enter "riscfree". This sets up the environment correctly.
NjorogeSince it used to appear in the Start menu for previous versions of Quartus just like the DSP Builder or the PTC, was it removed intentionally
