New ContributorPlease, do not release another version of Quartus until you fix the file length problem in windows
Are you referring to the maximum file path length? If so, this is a Windows limitation.
Windows limits the combined length of a file name and its path to 260 characters. If your project path exceeds this limit, Quartus may be unable to access the required IP or design files.
Additionally, the Quartus Prime Pro 26.1 installer includes an option to enable Windows Long Path Support by default. Older installers may not provide this option.
Alternatively, you can refer to the KDB below for instructions on enabling long path support in Windows.If the issue persists after enabling long path support, could you share more details, such as the exact compilation error message or logs?

Looks like it was fixed, my apologies. Didn't realize that was part of the install. Our corporate IT installs so I was not there to see it when it happens. I will go back to IT to see if I can get that fixed. I wonder why they didn't just make this default. this is basically a check box asking. " Do you want to be able to build your project anywhere other then then directly off of the C drive without error on windows."

My apologies. Looks like it was fixed. I want present when corporate IT installed it. I will see what I need o do to get it reinstalled
