License server down?

Hi

Since 2 days we have issues in compiling with Quartus Prime Pro 24.3 or 24.3.1 and nothing has changed in our source code.

Quartus crashes or refuse to compile, Platform Designer is stucked on its splashscreen, .... Sometimes project does not compile and I get the

errors:

Error: UNAVAILABLE: io exception

Error: Connection reset

Error: UNAVAILABLE: io exception

Error: Connection refused: getsockopt: localhost/[0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1]:53473

 

Did you heard something concerning these issues (license server from

Altera is perhaps down ? ...)

    Seems to be a know problem now. Read the other posts. Hopefully we will see a bugfix soon.

    I'm having the exact same problem!  For two days.  Trying to open Platform Designer just freezes.  Sometimes I get weird exceptions.  Compiling freezes.

    Using Quartus Pro 25.1.

      Check if you see a serv_req_info.txt in the project folder. It will probably show a crash like this:
