couldn't run EDA simulation library compiler

Dear Support,

I am learning how to use Quartus Pro, under tools-> launch simulation library compiler, I filled the executable location correctly. I confirmed that the vsim is there. but the tools keep asking me to "specify the simulation tools executable location. this really confuse me.

please give instruction/hint how to set up the location correctly. the Quartus is 21.3.

the Questa is 2021.04.

    the problem is the IP variation is not using the original IP name. just recompile the original IP with simulation enabled. will solve the problem.

      Hello!

      I have the same problem. Sorry for such a question What's the IP variation? How can I recompile it? I think my simple project doesn't use any IP cores if that's the problem.
