Can not upgrade ethernet related outdated IP in quartus prime standard 21.1 tool

Hello,

I am trying to run below mentioned demo on MAX10 Development Kit provided by intel.

I am referring below mentioned user guide to test it.

The demo was prepared in quartus prime standard 18.0 version and i am using quartus prime standard 21.1 so, to compile this demo i need to upgrade required IPs for quartus prime standard 21.1.

After upgrading IPs that support auto upgrade I also upgraded some IPs manually by editing qsys_top.qsys file. But there are still two IP remain outdated as i don't find the way to upgrade it and those are mentioned below.

  • Ethernet Packet Generator(eth_gen).
  • Ethernet Packet Monitor(eth_mon).

For details about above IPs: Refer user guide page no:6,7 and 9.

So, if you could provide me a way through which i could upgrade those IPs then that would be really helpful to me.

    And one more thing!

    In example design they have not provided one folder name "sc_tcl" as this folder would have .tcl file for testing the design from System Console according to user guide.

    Could you help me to know how i could get those .tcl files as it will required for testing purpose.

    For details: Refer user guide page no.20 step 7.

    Hi Nirmal,


    Good day.

    The require IP upgrade will be listed automatically. I don't think you've to upgrade anything other than listed don the IP Upgrade list.

    Kindly share with me if its stated the upgrade is required in your Quartus. I will debug it further.

    And regarding the sc_tcl files, it's auto-generated files from example design.
