Agilex 7 devices design example programming failed.

Hi,

OS: Win 11 Pro

Quartus: Prime Pro 23.4.0 Build 79

I downloaded a sample code for Agilex 7 devices from https://www.intel.com.tw/content/www/tw/zh/design-example/787040/agilex-7-fpga-hello-world-on-the-nios-v-m-processor-design-example.html

But it always shows an error message about WAITREQUEST_ALLOWANCE as below:

altera_merlin_slave_translator_inst: no such parameter: WAITREQUEST_ALLOWANCE

    Hi Eric,


    I have tested the design example from my end and it is successful.


    1. Please used Quartus Pro version 24.1 as suggested for the design example.
    2. Upgrade you IP tool. I saw from your photo there is a pop up suggested to upgrade IP.
    3. Run the design example again.

    Hi,


    -Can you share the screenshot of the error message?

    -Has the design ever work before?

    -What is the Quartus version that you used?

    -Make sure to select the correct device (AGFB014R24B2E2V)

      Hi


      Here are screenshots of the error message.

      How can I fix this error message?

      I am using Quartus Pro Edition and NIOS V for the first time.
      I have used Quartus Prime Lite Edition and NIOS II before and did not have this problem.


      My Quartus version is Prime Pro 23.4.0 Build 79 11/22/2023 SC Pro Edition.


      The Device ID is correct.

      I have had a go at building the same system with Quartus Prime Lite and it can be successfully compiled.

      Why does compilation always fail when using Quartus Prime Lite?

      How can I fix this error message?

      Hi Aiman,

      I run the design example on Quartus Pro version 24.1.
      I have updated all IP tools.
      I still get the same error message and other error messages.

      Or is there something wrong with my Quartus settings?

      Quartus Version: Quartus Pro version 24.1.0.115

      After removing and reinstalling all Quartus related tools from my PC, it can now be compiled successfully.
