How to compile/load uClinux to 2s60 demo board?

I've asked the same question a time ago, and in the meantime I figured

it out myself.

Make a copy of the EP2S60 full featured directory and start the SOPC builder

in this directory. Add a CF component to the design and compile the design.

You can use the new ptf file to compile the Filesystem and Kenel.

It already works with my EP2S60 board.

BTW seen that problem more than one time...

Try to start the IDE from within SOPC builder.

Sometimes this helps ...

I have also got a STRATIX II board.

Yust run quartus en open a example desing.

Then run SOPC builder ( double click on the symbol block ) then add / remove components a you like.

then run sopc builder and exit. Quartus ask to update the block, do that.

Then compile your compleet desing with quartus. You see that your *.sof file ha been changed.

Now used this new desing for reference when you create a new kernell/filesytem in the IDE program

I must be doing something extremly wrong....

I copied over the full_featured structure into a "linux_full_featured" directory.

Tried then to set up cf...but noticed that the ext_flash was already defined in

the system.

Tried to rebuild and then come into the NIOS IDE. Still cannot select/right click

on my "kernel" design and get the Configure Kernel option to display.

I'm wondering if I need to contact Altera directly about this. Not thrilled to

contact Microtronix about it; seems that they want $300/incident to look at this...

the extern flash is the AM29LV128 mounted on your development kit board.

The CF component is needed for the external sandisk compact flash card.
