creating a channel using dsp builder or quartus

Hi everyone,

I have some blocks implemented in simulink with dsp builder, and I have a vhdl code for each block, I want to connect them in order to create a channel; so is it better to do this with dsp builder and then exporting the project to quartus or making the channel on quartus.
