Same PCB for the two CY4 FPGAs EP4CGX150CF23C8N & EP4CGX30CF23C8N

In order to support one PCB the two CY4 FPGAs EP4CGX150CF23C8N & EP4CGX30CF23C8N,

Need to connect additional I/O pins of EP4CGX30CF23C8N (see below) to GND/VCCINT (1.2V)

I compile EP4CGX150CF23C8N with Migration to EP4CGX30CF23C8N, as expected at the project.pin report the pins connected to GND/VCCINT for example:

my question is if I assembled EP4CGX30CF23C8N and pin H16 (for example) connected to VCCINT(1.2V) , is it ok or Should I add serial resistor to the VCCINT pins in order to disconnect it when I use the EP4CGX30CF23C8N?

Thanks & Best Regards,

Israel Ben-Yeda

Generally, supported device migration doesn't require jumper resistors or similar, GX30 IO pin should have no problems to connect to VCCINT.

    Hello Israel Ben-Yeda,

If you plan to use those pins as GPIOs, then you may add the resistor and put DNI.

      Thanks,

I don't need to use those pins as I/Os, so I don't need the resistor?

GX30 IO pin should have no problems connecting to VCCINT?

      Thanks & Best Regards,

    Hello Israel Ben-Yeda,

For me, it is a good practice to add additional resistor to the I/O pins even if you are not using it as it is connected to VCCINT.

      Hi,

It’s “good practice to add additional resistor “ or mandatory?

Because it complicates the layout and can also hurt it (Hits VCCINT's polygon continuously),

      Thanks & Best Regards,
