Hi,
sounds like you got SW4 settings wrong. Which devices are recognized in default JTAG setting, SW4 = off, off, on, off, JP6+7 installed? FPGA only should be SW4=on, off, on, on.

thank you for the response,
I have checked for SW4 = off, off, on, off.it is showing the 5M1270, SOCVHPS and if I click auto detect, it is asking for select the device, I have selected(5CSXFC6D6) and confirm it. I have checked the JP6+JP7.
after that,
I have done this, FPGA only should be SW4=on, off, on, on. I clicked on the auto detect, then it is showing this below error,
unable to scan device chain. can't scan JTAG chain.do you want to open the JTAG chain debugger to troubleshoot the JTAG chain?
can you please tell me what I have to do further.
Best regards,
Bachan

Hi Bachan,
my answer was based on user manual and schematic. Unfortunately I don't have the board and can't help further. Altera support should take care for the problem.

Hi Balchan,
Is this the same issue with the other post below?
