mountdevsubfs.sh is missing in Ubuntu9.10

Hi ,I installed new Ubuntu 9.10 version and after that I installed Altera quartus II and Nios EDS .I want to setup USB blaster in my ubuntu9.10 system.But I cant find mountdevsubfs.sh script in /etc/init.d folder .Please help me where can I find this script..How can I solve this problem ..

    I've never seen mountdevsubfs.sh mentioned in relation to the USB Blaster. Why are you looking for it? What isn't working on 9.10? I'm using Ubuntu 9.04, with no issues, here, and would like to know what (if any) problems exist before I consider updating to 9.10.

    @slacker, I think what @murthy425 was referring to was the procedure to get the USB Blaster and Ubuntu 9.04 working as cited in this post.

    I read this post a couple weeks back when I was still using 9.04 and it seemed to work at the time.

    Now, I'm not sure what I have going on, but I am running on 9.10. (I knew it was a bad idea.)

    It seems like the thing works, but once in a while I have to run this script: 

    
sudo killall jtagd
sudo /home/dave/altera9.0/quartus/bin/jtagconfig -n
    because I get an error code 89.

    or something like this: 

    
There is a problem with the Quartus II installation on your computer.
Please use `jtagconfig` for further diagnosis.
    Overall, the installation of quartus on Ubuntu was a little rough, but it seems to be working on my 32-bit 9.10. I still get a seg fault on the AMD64 version of 9.04.

    Altera, please support Ubuntu! All the cool kids are using it ;)

    Dave,

    I've never had to do any of that stuff to get the USB Blaster functional in Ubuntu. I just followed the Quartus for Linux instructions (http://nioswiki.com/operatingsystems/uclinux/quartusforlinux) on the Nios Wiki. Of these, the key points to get the USB Blaster functional were to:

    1. Add the mount stuff to /etc/fstab.

    2. Add/create a rules file to handle the udev stuff.
    I've run all of the Altera toolchain on Ubuntu (Xubuntu actually) x86_64 since 8.1 or earlier (both Ubuntu and Altera versions...). There have been some X related hiccups, but since I prefer the command line my productivity hasn't ever been seriously affected.

    Like with a lot of software on the x86_64 architecture, you've got to have the 32 bit compatibility stuff installed to get full functionality.
