HI Frank,
it would be fine, if you could try this. I tried the setup on four notebooks with parallel ports: One Lenovo one IBM, one Fujitsu Siemens and one Roda.
Parallel Port config: I tried ECP, EPP, Standard bidirectional, Starting Addressses 0x278, 0x378, 3BC … Allways the same error on all notebooks.
Maybe it helps you when I thell you my configs:
All notebooks are Windows XP 32 and have a parallel port (RAM is between 2GB and 4GB).
From the orig CD:
First: I selected programer only
Second: I selected Full/Flexlm/… installieren
Then I told Windows that I have a Byteblaster:
Control Panel – Hardware – add new Hardware – is connected – Audio/Video/Gamingcontroller – Have disk – c:\maxplus2\drivers\win200
In MaxPlus+ I do the following:
File – open – the GDF-File
File – Project – set Project to current file
(Maybe File – Hirarchy Top before).
Maxplus2 – Compiler – Start – when ready:
Maxplus2 – Programmer
File – Select Programing File – (Select the pof file because the sof file doesn’t work).
And now back tot he programmer dialog. Select program on the left side – that’s I always did before, but now the program button on the left is grayed out becaulse of no hardware selected. And when I click on Options – Hardware setup – I can’t select byteblaster.
I have one colleague with one working notebook for this, but he is 2 car hours away.
He came to me and could connect to my programmer, select Byteblaster II and updated a program on my processor.
But 2 hours driving (one direction) is a long way and he also doesn’t have an idea what I did wrong.
The parallel port mode of my colleague is ECP, but I think on my old lenovo notebook I just had standard and selected the starting address of 0x278 or 0x378 – and this also worked well.
If you need anything from me, or I should try something, please tell me.
It would be very nice from you, if you could help me.
Thank you so much!
Regards,
Andreas
