Hi,
A few things to clarify:
- Physically verify the flash device installed on your board. The part number (e.g., EPCQ256, EPCS128) should be printed directly on the chip.
- In Quartus Programmer, use “Auto Detect” to see which devices are recognized on the JTAG chain.
- How you convert to the .jic file? When converting your .sof to .jic, be sure to select the exact flash device that matches the part number on your board.
- Ensure your board is properly powered and all JTAG connections are secure.
- Use a supported version of Quartus (13.1 or newer) when working with EPCQ256.
