EP4SGX530NF45I3N

Does anyone know if this part is Rohs Exemption? It has a making "e1"=rohs. I don't expect having lead (Pb) but I'm getting a high content of Lead. Am I not understanding this doc by Altera?

Datasheet has suffix "N" as Rohs. What is this Exemption #15?

Altera's info is conflicting as Part has "e1" but datasheet has as Rohs5 (this mean lead (Pb) is also present. Does this mean Altera

read this as "component lead is e1 (SnAgCu) but due to Rohs5 (Suffix N), Lead (Pb) can also be present w/exemption, right?

  • Hi,

You may refer to the Dofc and Material declartion datasheet to see if the device has the substances that you mention..

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/collections/content-type/mdds.html?q=EP4SGX530NF45I3N&s=Relevancy

EP4SGX530NF45I3N does not contain the hazardous substances listed in 2011/65/EU and EU 2015/863 beyond the maximum concentration value(MCV).

The lead in the solders to complete a viable connection between semiconductor die and

carrier within this integrated circuit flip chip package is governed by the Exemption 15a

    of (EU) 2019/172

Hi, I read the same PCN you did. However, the response didn't answer my questions for understanding?

You just wrote what was on the PCN?
