DE10 lite How to simulate the design from within Quartus ?
I am newbie with the DE10 lite.
So far I could create the RTL, pass the synthesis (still with some warnings to investigate).
I could also simulate it with ModelSim that was installed according to DE10 Lite data book.
However, whenever I try to run the simulation from within Quartus (tools->run simulation tool-> RTL simulation) there is no error, yet nothing happens.
Gemini's AI help guided me to define ModelSim in EDA tools settings - how ever, there is no ModelSim option there.
How can I set it correctly and run it?

If yes, the user guide mention that you will need to used Quartus 16.0. If you want to use the latest version, you will need to do the migration and study the flow again to run the simulation.
If the above is link is not correct, kindly send us your link.

What version of Quartus are you using? ModelSim (or in more recent versions QuestaSim) must be installed along with Quartus. If you didn't install the simulation tool and set the path to its executable in the settings, it won't work.

Yes, do let us the version of the Quartus that you were using. As different version of Quartus use different steps for simulation.

I am using version 23.1 build 991 11/28/2023 SC lite Edition.
What version should I change to? (as long as it supports the DE10 Lite)

The version is fine but you have to install QuestaSim along with Quartus. Go to "Individual Files" here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/software-kit/825278/intel-quartus-prime-lite-edition-design-software-version-23-1-1-for-windows.html

Also, can you use our latest Quartus Prine Pro/Std? As using the old version of Quartus will not help on the support side.
