By writing JIC file from JTAG connector,I config FPGA.
It is follwing route. Jtag connector->FPGA->EPCS serial flash Can I write sof and elf file by flash programmer using the route above-mentioned(JTAG connector)?3 Replies

Hi,
You can try to use Quartus II programmer to program the .sof and .elf files in .jic file format. I tried DE0 board.DE0 board has inner USB blaster.After inner USB blaster ,JTAG line connect to cyclneIII and after cyloneIII, serial bus connect to EPCSXX memory.I attach fig. I coud write JIC file by QuartusII porgrammer.I could write sof and elf file by flash programer. I wite new design of ArriaII GX in atthed fig. I'm sorry,but let me check it again in a fig ( attached),please. Can I write jic file by QuartusII programmer in my new design? Hi,
Yes, you can still to program the .sof and .elf files in via Quartus II programmer and flash programmer using the external USB Blaster download cable. The method should be the same when using inner USB blaster.
