Arria 10 NAND Flash Programming Hangup

I'm having issues programming a NAND Flash component through JTAG on multiple identical CCAs with an Arria 10 SoC. I'm using Quartus 20.1 system-console to execute a .tcl script that calls the "master_write_from_file" command to write to a specific address in flash. The script repeatedly hangs indefinitely at this step. I have tried several different JTAG speeds.

When I call the quartus_hps executable to load the file to flash, I don't run into any issues, however I need to run the programming .tcl script through system-console for various reasons.

    Hello,

Can you try program the FPGA using Quartus programmer GUI?

from Quartus programmer GUI, what is the error message?

    regards,

    Farabi

Programming the .sof file directly to the FPGA using the Quartus GUI doesn't yield any errors. However, my problem is attempting to load to external NAND flash.

Could this be a bad block issue? Is there any additional visibility when "master_write_from_file" is called?

    Hi jeelliso,

I'm trying to understand the issue here. Could you try at least provide a block diagram on how to setup is connected?

Any reason why you need to use "master_write_from_file"?

    Regards,
