Hi Brandon,
I really apologize as I was not clear with your request.
Can you help to clarify your question?

I want to verify if this part# should have a "Metal" top cover. The info I saw from Altera has the cover as thermal Composite (I attach info). This date code I noticed is past the PDN I found from Altera. Did Altera or Intel reproduce this part with "Metal" top cover. Can anyone supply this info? Or is this a counterfeit? Can anyone run the date/lot code to see if it belongs to Altera?

Aqid, Were you able to confirm if there was a transistion on this "Top Lid" to exist for this part? I saw 2 years ago same part same questions but I don't see the response on it. I don't have access. Le me know if you have access. I can't find any info that this type of lid exist for this part.

Hi Brandon,
Can you confirm how you purchased the parts? Is it direct or via appointed distributors?

Is anyone here have any info on this? Even Altera personell is stunned on this issue? I can't find any info on the "Metal" lid only as "Thermal Composite" exist. Has the "Metal" lid ever exist for this part? I think my question is "Clear", right? Where's the confusion? I think I saw another thread with same problem 2 years ago but no answer too?
