we are planning a project base on Arria 10 SOC FPGA, and for this device, handbook suggest to use Quartus prime pro version rather than standard version. because we need to develp ARM firmware, both Quartus prime and SOC EDS are needed. From Intel website, I downloaded the Quartus Prime Pro V21.4, but I can't find the corresponding version SOC EDS, the newest version on the website is 20.1. My question is: 1. Can i install the Quartus Prime Pro V21.4 with SOC EDS V20.1? Someone told me it is better to install the Quartus and SOC EDS with the same version, is this right? 2. Where can i find the SOC EDS V21.4？ 3. Or, if SOC EDS V21.4 is not available, shall i need to download Quartus Prime Pro V20.1 so that it has the same version as the newest SOC EDS? 4. Does intel has instruction document for above questions? thanks.

Hi,

1. The latest version available for SoC EDS Pro is v20.1. It is compatible to work with any version of Quartus Prime Pro Software.

2. SOC EDS v21.4 was not available currently.

3. It is not compulsory. You may use SoC EDS Pro is v20.1 with Quartus Prime Pro v21.4.

4. We don't have documentation for questions above currently.

  Now i have installed Quartus prime pro V21.4 on my laptop(win10 OS).
  
  and i am installing the SOC EDS v20.1 per instructions on below link:

Have you direct to the correct location with "\" for this command soceds-cygwin-setup.bat %USERPROFILE%\Downloads\setup-x86_64.exe ?

  yes, infact, i copy the setup-x86_64.exe file to the same folder as soceds-cygwin-setup.bat, then run the command as below:
  
  soceds-cygwin-setup.bat setup-x86_64.exe
  
  after i run the command, in fact the most files are downloaded successfully, but at last the error always appears as i prevously send to you.
  
  i attached the setup.log for your reference.

I think you need to list out the directory of setup-x86_64.exe after the command. I attempt to download cygwin and locate the .exe in my local disks. It ran successfully at the end.
