So here is my problem, because we don't have an extension to use ModelSIM floating license until our classes end in the late April, I am being forced to upgrade labs to a newer version of the Quartus prime Standard software.
I installed the Suite on a test computer, and the 23.1 version of Quartus still recognizes the license daemon running on the server. At least at launch, i have not tried to compile or download a project file to a MAX 10 board.
I ran the new License daemons on a test sandbox computer to see what to expect when i do it on the actual license server we have. I noticed on the download page that the new license server for Siemens, requires a change to a license file - changing the name of the daemon from mgcld to saltd, only for the VENDOR statement, not the INCREMENT statements.
So because even with the daemon changes just noted, can I still have a 'merged' license file pointing to 3 license daemons on the server?
Effectively creating a grace period to avoid disruption to courses by combining or including three vendor lines in a new license file ?
Quartus, ModelSIM, and Questa?
Thank You,
