Unexpected Installation of Quartus Standard Edition Instead of Lite Edition
Dear Support Team,
I am writing to inquire about an issue I encountered after installing Quartus Lite Edition on a Linux environment.
Below is the setup I used:
- Environment: Virtual machine running on VMware
- OS: Linux
- Software Package: Quartus Prime Lite Edition
- Version: 17.0 (used this version based on the reference material)
- Installation source: https://www.intel.co.jp/content/www/jp/ja/software-kit/669553/intel-quartus-prime-lite-edition-design-software-version-17-0-for-linux.html
When I ran `./setup`, the installer clearly showed "Lite Edition (Free)", and the installation completed successfully.
However, after installation, when I run `intelFPGA_lite/17.0/quartus/bin/quartus --64bit`, the software asks about a license. Additionally, executing `intelFPGA_lite/17.0/quartus/bin/quartus --version` shows that the installed version is "Standard Edition".
I have not installed any other version of Quartus on this system, so I do not understand why it is behaving as if the Standard Edition is installed.
I would appreciate it if you could provide clarification or assistance regarding this matter.
Best regards,
