Replacing an Evaluation License

So the parts of this screenshot you blocked out, you're pointing to a legit .dat file and have LM_LICENSE_FILE set up and it still is in eval mode? You only need one or the other but if it's a fixed license, make sure it was created for the MAC address of your machine (one of them if multiple). Or are you accessing a floating license on a server?

I should have clarified, I'm trying to use a floating license. I was able to remove the eval license by doing a full reinstall of Quartus. Quartus still isn't able to use the license and gives this error: "Can't connect to the Intel FPGA website to check for license file updates. Verify that you have an active internet connection. To prevent the Quartus Prime software from connecting to the internet to check for updates, in the Options dialog box, on the Internet Connectivity page, turn off the options under Startup."

The server running Quartus has full internet access and doesn't use any proxies. This setup has been working without issue for the past year.

I'm able to ping the server and I get this output from lmstat

I'm using Quartus 19.1 so I think the license should be valid.

Standard and Pro licenses only last a year. Are you sure you don't need to update the license subscription?

I'm fairly new to Quartus so I'm not too familiar with the licensing. I will check with who handles our licensing.

Would it be normal to get that connection error rather than Quartus reporting an expired license?

Possibly. I use a fixed license so I haven't seen what you're seeing. Since it's floating, are you the only one using it? Is anybody else having issues?

I'm usually the only one on my team using it. I've reached out to another group we work with that likely uses it as well.

1) Debug/error.log file

2) Error message screen shot

3) Screenshot of Quartus II>>tools>>license setup

4) Machine OS information

5) Quartus version used

6) Output of “lmutil lmstat –a –c <port>@<address>” server and client

7) License.dat file
