I manage to use the Windows GUI to change the SALT_LICENSE_ SERVER to the license dat file for my work MAC address.
Previously when I change it in the Command Prompt, it didn't change. I don't know why.
In the "Environment Variables" window, there are 2 parts:
(1) User variables for User
(2) System variables
Notice that I just need to change the SALT_LICENSE_ SERVER value in the "User variables for User".
But in the "System variables", there is also SALT_LICENSE_ SERVER. What is this for?

Super ContributorI usually just set it in both. User variables are for when a certain user is logged into Windows vs. System variables are valid for all users.
