Quartus Prime Pro Embedded Edition

There's this new software add-on for Quartus Pro 25.3 named "Quartus Prime Pro Embedded Edition" that I have found no documentation on. What is it and how does it differ from the development flow in RiscFree IDE and/or ARM-DS?

    Hi,
    if I understand right, it's a tool collection, providing a subset of full Quartus installation. Similar to Standalone Programmer with additional tools. Installation FAQ tells:

    • Quartus Prime Pro Embedded Edition: provides the Quartus Prime Pro Edition Programmer, Platform Designer, the Nios V processor, and IP board files to support your embedded development.

    Yes,  the Quartus Prime Pro Embedded Edition is a streamlined software package designed specifically for embedded processor development on Altera FPGAs.

    For more information, you can refer to the Description panel on the right-hand side after selecting Quartus Prime Pro Embedded Edition in the Quartus Prime Installer. Attached here:
