Quartus 10.0 won't install on Win7 x64

I'm not using the web edition but 10.0 on Win7 Ultimate 64 installed and is working just fine for me.

I tried disabling AV and it still won't start the download. Note that the problem isn't with installing 10.0 it's actually with the web installer not even downloading the installation files.

Perhaps you can try the command line install using your downloaded installer. The folks at Altera recently publish a guide on that rd07212010_875 (http://www.altera.com/support/kdb/solutions/rd07212010_875.html?gsa_pos=1&wt.oss_r=1&wt.oss=rd07212010_875)

Have you tried the full installer (2.6 GB download)?

Downloading the full package instead of the installer works. Thanks for suggesting this.

I just notice Altera released a new version of their Windows installers. I have created a new thread for this.
