PLL Megawizard broken in Quartus 13.1?

I just noticed, that the PLL Megawizard does not start up in Quartus 13.1 any more, neither when creating a new component, nor when editing an existing one. The blue "Loading Megawizard" window shortly appears on the screen, and then diappears. I can confirm that the PLL megawizard still worked in Quartus 13.0sp1. In the task manager I can see, that a java process appears in the list for a second or so, but then it disappears again. If I enable the task manager to show the command line of the process, the line appears incompletely to me: "c:/altera/13.1/quartus/bin/jre/bin/javaw.exe" -Xms64m -Xmx 1g -jar "c:/altera/13.1/quartus//sopc_builder/model/lib/com.altera.iplauncher.jar" "--wizard=altera_pll" "--early_gen=on" "--wizard_file=c:/altera/13.1/ip/altera/altera_pll//source/top/pll_hw.tcl" "-- Nevertheless, this is probably not the cause since I can see the same with Quartus 13.0sp1. Any ideas?

this may be related if you have different versions of quartus installed simultaneously.i uninstalled everything and reinstalled quartus 13.1 sp2 . this fixed the problem. why reinstalling didn't helped you, -have no idea.

Did the reinstall help you? For me it did not work.

Well, yes and the hint from ilik seems to be an idea, too. It took me, or to be honest, i took my PC about 4 hours to uninstall two version of 13.1, one 10.1 and one other version of 13.1 for the SoC(?), which were installed in parallel.

Only at the very end, quartus 13.1 allowed me to install a blank version in the default directory and after that, everything went well. I didn´t change/install any other software like the c runtimes :/

I have the same problem with Quartus 13.1. In Quartus 14.0 Altera PLL crashes the Qsys without any prompts.

    Does anybody found a solution?

are you sure you have uninstalled including your current quartus? do not leave any of them. uninstall all. then reinstall one quartus. if it doesnt help... i don't know what to do. i would reinstall OS and make a good backup image of entire system so that if such happens again, you could regenerate everything in 30minutes.
