platform designer freeze when hps system added

I have a fresh install of quartus prime std 22.1 on an ubuntu 20.04 system. When I try and add an hps system to a clean design in platform designer it freezes and is unrecoverable. There are no err...

    My pc does indeed meet the requirements.

    So I tried going back to the 21.1 version of the software. So far it appears to work fine. I can add anything I want to the platform designer including hps. So it appears it may have been a version issue?

Just to double check, did you meet the system requirement? e.g ram etc
