Need Quartus II 13.0 sp1

Hello! I am a university student and I just purchased a secondhand board with a Cyclone II chip on it, but I need Quartus II 13.0 sp1 since the lastest versions do not support that chip. I can't afford to buy a newer board, please help!
  • Hi noonnunnie,

For your information, the Quartus II is no longer available to download anymore and Cyclone II is not supported anymore too. However, there's workaround for you that I can help to try to make a special request to my team to generate a special download link to fulfill your demand.

Before all of these, can I request some of your details in order to proceed further :

--- Please take note in your email ---

    Thanks

    Hubert

But of course that link is not working now since it appears the Intel website is borked.

      Hello Hubert,

I have the same issue: trying to access Quartus II 13.0sp1 web edition. The link has been removed or broken or not working anymore. I was able to access it up until very recently (August 2024). The link you have provided for the subscription edition is working, but I am looking for the web edition. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    You are now SOL.

Since the CycloneII device was declared obsolete/EOL last month, Intel/Altera in their infinite wisdom

has determined that noone will ever need access to QuartusII 13.0sp1 Web Edition ever again.

So if you have boards with existing CycloneII devices you are SOL.

Or boards with MAX EPM7000 or EPM3000 series devices you are SOL.

You now need to use the 13.0sp1 subscription edition which requires you buy a license for $3K or so.

    Thanks Intel. Great support. Not.

  • Hi MF Purdue,

You are most welcome, so glad to hear that you can access to the subscription edition too ^^

Meanwhile for the Web Edition, please allow me sometime to let me check if there any workaround at the background. Will keep you all updated over here once I got the result, kindly be patience.

    Always at your support

  • Hi MF Purdue,

You may try to download the Quartus II Web Edition via https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/software-kit/711790/intel-quartus-ii-web-edition-design-software-version-13-0sp1-for-linux.html

    It should be working

Unfortunately, it was due to the server issue at the background after checking with the related technical team. Please accept our sincere apology which brought you undesirable experience.

Thanks to you and Kaelyn who brought up these issues and checking with us. Both of you are the saviors of the globe ! Bravo !

If there is no further enquiries, can I have both of your permission to close this ticket ?

    Best Regards

    Hubert
