LPM_FF megafunction

I want to use the LPM_FF megafunction for my project. I want the LPM_WIDTH to be 8. I added that in the parameter field. Quatra II is not recognizing the change even after I saved the BDF file. The compile error is that the bus width with the input bus does not match. What is the correct method to add parameters to an LPM block. This is the first time I am using LPM. Is there an Altera file that describes how to change parameters in megafunctions? I am using the latest version of Quatra II.

I am using Prime Lite edition. I don't see any IP components tab in the Project menu. Is the Project Navigator a different tool? don't see anything useful in the tools menu either. Can you expand on item 3?

btw, I am using Prime Lite v15.1, FPGA MAX10.

    thanks for your help

IP Catalog -> it is where any old megafunction may still exist and Megawizards for IP Components. Shortcut key Alt+7

IP Components in Project Navigator -> list of instained IPs. Shortcut key Alt+0 for Project Navigator, then choose IP Component in combobox.

    check here http://www.altera.com/support/training/university/materials-tutorials.html

by the way Parameters in schematic only as information they don't pass to compilation. You should rely on Parameters for IP provided through megawizard.
