Limitations of using third party synthesis tools

What limitations does use of 3rd party synthesis tools create for use with Quartus Prime? i.e are there things that we can normally do with Quartus but using 3rd party synthesis tools e.g Synopsys Synplify shall prevent?

Are we capable of creating signal tap logic in the design when using Synplify to do the synthesis?

    Sinplify don't care about signal tap, it is quartus level stuff.

    But it can brought out signals from internal design on pins using syn_probe.
