The PRE_FLOW_SCRIPT_FILE assigned tcl script executes whenever we click on compile button. Is there a way to force execution of tcl script if we merely run synthesis, or merely fitter e.t.c?

You may run the script manually using the below
<executable> -t <script name> <flow or module name> <project name> <revision name>
