I have a question about the license,
how can I check which FPGA families are supported by the license file that I have currently in use? ThanksForum Discussion

Altera_Forumin general, supported devices aren't called out in the license file. Quartus II Web Edition only has support for limited families while Subscription Edition supports all families:
http://www.altera.com/literature/po/ss_quartussevswe.pdf there are some rare exceptions of older devices or families that require a separate license entry but i can't remember specifics- Altera_Forum

Primitive library tutorial" from the "Handbook DSP vol.3". Modelsim works perfectly, then when I try to launch the Compilation in Quartus I get a message saying that I dont have the license of that FPGA family

For example the jgp shows the error that I get targeting the Cyclone II (for any board).
