  • Hi @Irfan191,

Thank you for posting in Intel community forum, hope all is well and apologies for the delayed in response.

Could you let us know which version of OpenCL that you are compiling with? Also which sample design that you are building? As well as the command used to build.

Those information would be useful to help us understand the situation further.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Note: is it correct to say you are using Windows with WSL? Suspect based on the error message it may be some missing/corrupted library during installation.

Thank You for the reply the version of Opencl and SDK I am using are as follow:

    Standard edition SDK: AOCL-19.1.0.670-linux.tar

The Command use to build was ./setup.sh

Version of Opencl: intel-opencl-icd is already the newest version (23.43.27642.40-1ubuntu3). I have use this command to install Opencl (sudo apt install intel-opencl-icd)

Ubuntu 24 is my operating system.

I have set the environment variables as per the given documentation in the SDK

Basically I am looking forward to use the emulator in the SDK to test my machine learning compiler generated Opencl codes.

  • Hi @Irfan191,

Noted with thanks on the details for the environment and OS setup.

And thanks for the patients as due to holiday season there maybe some delayed in the response, but rest assured that we are still looking into your issues.

As OpenCL tool has been deprecated, we would advise to check out our latest oneAPI tool replacement, more details of the product can be found below:

However we would still try our best to support your doubts on OpenCL.

Hence would recommend to check on the following:

    - can you please run and share the output of the 'aocl diagnose' command

    - there should be a sample design available somewhere in the following path (<path_to_exm_opencl_hello_world_x64_linux_<version>>/hello_world), can you please try compiling that instead.

Hope to hear from you soon.

I will let you know soon. Bit busy with other things

  • Hi @Irfan191,

Thank you for the patients, after some alignment we suspect that the culprit might be the missing GCC compiler which the OpenCL may required for emulation, hence would suggest to check of the gcc is install and also the required minimal version for the compiler compatibility with the link below:

Once correct GGC version is installed would recommend to source the 'init_opencl.sh' script to set/re-set the environment variable to ensure all is correct. The script can be found in the opencl installation path.

    Hope that clarify
