Does anyone have Quartus 12.1 service pack 1 for linux installed?

Hello All,

Yesterday I attempted to download the quartus 12.1 service pack 1. Downloading from Altera takes a long time so I downloaded two files; one of them was for quartus and the second one was for my device family. I left the download running overnight. After I installed the files this morning, quartus 12.1 still indicates that no service pack is installed? Maybe I botched the install, but since it takes a long time to download the files I thought that it would be a good idea to see if anyone else has succesfully installed 12.1 service pack 1 for Linux using multiple download files before I try again. I downloaded the two files tageting 32 bit Linux at this web page.

https://www.altera.com/download/software/quartus-ii-se/12.1sp1

After the install the quartus version in the help menmu indicates "Quartus II 32 bit Version 12.1 Build 177 11/07/2012 Sj Fiull Version" and "Service Pack Installed" is at "None".

Thanks,

Jeff

FWIW, It just might be that some confusion occurs when the 12.1 service pack 1release doesnt report that it is a service pack version in the help/about window. One could guess that this might have been overlooked when Altera changed to a full install for service pack release, but that is of course pure speculation on my part.

OK so this release includes the Build 243 that I've seen in the Arria V device files few weeks ago which crashes with 12.1 Build 177, but I was in Windows environment.

Re-installed it using the 22MB installer works better that time. The full download is another 17 GB, good thing it allows select/deselect the devices not been used. Good luck!
