Can't install Quatus V10.0 under XP

Hi,

I'm having a problem installing Free Web Quartus V10.0 under XP. It appears to install OK but when looking at \quartus\bin there are only 2 files. I've tried this on 3 different PCs and get the same result each time. I've donwnloaded the distribution a number of times and get the same file size each time. I've also done a checksum compare on the file with one that a friend has installed successfully and get the same value.

Any help would be appreciated.

    i have the same problem that philp.i try to install the subscription edition indvidual download (3.7G) on a windows vista 32 bits and it install ok but when i want to run the program the directory for quartus is incomplete and dont start.

    ¿what is the problem?

    if i have the install file i dont need any conexion to internet.

    what i have to do?

    I have the same problem. I'm using Windows 7. When I install Quartus II and Nios II EDS, it says it needs around 13 GB, OK no problem for me. It took a long time to download, normal for me since it says it will download around 5 GB of files.

    After it finished download, it installs. Took a long time too since the are a lot of files. So seems normal to me.

    But when it finished the installation, I cannot run the program! I've check the altera folder and it's only 50 MB!

    Anyone have an idea on this? since this is the third I did this and it gave the same result.

    The same problem I have.

    I've Window Vista and previously installed QuartusII 9.0 and 9.1sp1.

    The instllation seems ok but the Quartys executable is not present.

    Any hint?

    it seems there are a lot of people having the same problem. Any idea on this? And anyone have links to the older version of quartus II and nios II eds?

    I have the same problem under XP, however version 8.1 downloads and installs and works!!

    Is there a possibility that having QuartusII 9.1 installed prevents a proper installation of the 10.0 version?

    I think I started by trying to install the V10.0 without removing my 9.1sp2 version, but then stopped and removed the 9.1sp2. continued with the install and it did not work. I had to delete the folders and shortcuts because I could not remove it with the add-remove programs and the uninstaller for the ModelSim did not work.

    So now I installed 9.1sp2 again and did a clean remove of it with add-remove programs...

    then tried installing again V10.0, but no luck. Quartus and Nios go through install and pass, but I can't lunch them (missing shortcut) then ModelSim install fails... Non of the programs appear in the add-remove programs so I have to manually remove the files and shorcuts...

    I have a AMD Phenom II x4 810 processor and I run Windows XP 32bit
