Assigning three bit input pin

Hello

I am trying to program Cyclone two. One of my input pin is three bit input2..0] but when I try to assign it physically to a pin in the chip, the quartus sees it as three indivitual inputs not as one three bit input pin. Any idea how to do it ???

    just assign the desired pin number to each individual bit of your 3-bit bus. it will still behave like a bus in your logic and you route it how ever you'd like on your board.
