aocl diagnostic failed for no reason

Hello everyone,

I am doing a project using Nallatech P385-A72. When I type "aocl diagnostic" command, the result shows:

Verified that the kernel mode driver is installed on the host machine.

Using board package from vendor: Nallatech ltd

Querying information for all supported devices that are installed on the host machine ...

MMD INFO : [acl0] uniphy(s) did not calibrate. Expected 0 but read 37

MMD INFO : Uniphy core 0 failed to calibrate

MMD INFO : Uniphy core 1 failed to calibrate

MMD INFO : If there are more failures than Uniphy controllers connected,

MMD INFO : ensure the uniphy_status core is correctly parameterized.

Device Name Status Information

acl0 Failed Board name not available.

Failed initial tests, so not working as expected.

Please try again after reprogramming the device.

Found no active device installed on the host machine.

Please make sure to:

1. Set the environment variable AOCL_BOARD_PACKAGE_ROOT to the correct board package.

2. Install the driver from the selected board package.

3. Properly install the device in the host machine.

4. Configure the device with a supported OpenCL design.

5. Reboot the machine if the PCI Express link failed.

DIAGNOSTIC_FAILED

I have checked that driver and SDK have been installed successfully.

Did someone meet this problem before?

Thank you.

    Hi,

this error message seems to indicate a hardware fault, I would advise contacting Nallatech directly to perform further debugging.

    Thanks,

I am able to verify other H/W IP's in the same setup where I am programming the sof and written my own PCIe driver and verify the IP.

But using aocl I am not able to program : aocl program acla10_ref0 boardtest.aocx because aocl diagnose failed.

    Thanks,

I got the same error message because the DDR4 RAM (HILIO) is not fit properly on the board.

Once it is adjusted properly, aocl diagnose is passing.

As I said earlier the other RTL designed I verified before doing these are not using DDR4, so they are working without any issue.

Please check the DDR4 RAM on the board.
