    Hi,

From my understanding, the alterad daemon does not seem to be working on your side. However, it is working fine for me on Windows 11.

Are you using the daemon provided on the webpage below?

    Try downloading and installing FlexlmSetup-11.19.6.0-linux.run:

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/software-kit/709649/flexlm-license-daemons-for-intel-fpga-software.html

Could you provide a screenshot of the error message?

Also, try running the following command to check if the daemon is up:

    lmutil lmstat -c <license name>.dat

    Regards,

    Richard Tan

Please can you confirm that you have read my request and my other forum post linked above? All the information is there. Flexera have announced that there is a bug in their software introduced in 11.19.4.1 and fixed in 11.19.6.1. I don't feel like me doing any more debugging is a productive use of time. I just need a new version of alterad released built on the latest version of flexnet publisher. I'll screenshot their forum post so you can see for yourself.

I will check with the tool developer on this.

Just curious, does the alterad daemon still crash even without any configuration done? e.g. LM_A_LINGER

I have never see any customer configure those settings before.

We don't use LM_A_LINGER for our daemon.

However, we plan to upgrade to 11.19.7.0 in the next Quartus release, likely around April/May (subject to change).
