modification of tcp/ip stack

hi,

Is it possible to modify the tcp/ip stack at the network and data link layer level..

please reply to the post.

    Clarify your question.

    The source code is available, you can modify whatever you want on it.

    And if you are still not talking about the Nios II specific version of Linux, then you are still not on the right forum.

    Since I'm using the ubuntu 11.04 , I could not locate the source code of the tcp/ip stack on the linux kernel.

    only kconfig and Makefiles are present in the net folder...

    Please help me in solving this issue..
