Image compression in multiprocessor system

Hello All, I want to design image compression using nios ii multiprocessor system.I want to design using nios II IDE. Can I get some directions or some reference code to get started?

if you want high speed, you might consider using our JPEG-CODEC-IP, which is fast, small and reasonable priced: http://www.entner-electronics.com/tl/index.php/jpeg-codec.html
