avalon slave interface

Hi All,

I'm a new, i'm trying to make an avalon slave interface to have access to an external logic ( Fifo), i would just write, read and controls the fifo from the nios. i didn't find anythink simple in the altera litterature which explains, how to make this interface and how to get access to registers. someone can help
