Registered DDR3

I'm trying to use the MegaWizard Plug-In to create a Registered DDR3 block for a Stratix IV, but I get the following error:

Error: DDR3 Registered SIMMS are not currently allowed

Does this have something to do with the fact I'm using a Stratix IV? Is there a way to be able to get around this error?

Ideally I'd like to create a module that will work with a Micron MT36JSZF1G72PZ.

Help.

    The DDR3 controller does not currently support registered DIMMs, regardless of part family. The DDR2 controller does.

    No registered DIMMs have had Altera support until 9.1 sp1. Support is now available.
