Agilex 7 slew rate reconfiguration

We need to change dynamically (reconfigure) the transceiver TX slew rate.

How can that be done?

    Hi,

     

    For configuring TX Equalization on the Agilex™ 7 FGT PMA, you can use register 0x47830, which controls the TX EQ parameters. You may also refer to the proc set_txeq_settings procedure in the file ttk_helper_ftile_9_25.tcl, as it provides an example of how these settings are applied.

    From your inquiry, I understand that you are looking into reconfiguring the TX slew rate for the Agilex 7 XCVR. Please correct me if my assumption is incorrect, but I am presuming you are referring to the F‑tile transceiver.

     

    For your information, after reviewing the F‑Tile Architecture and PMA and FEC Direct PHY IP User Guide, I was not able to locate any specific info or configurable parameters related to TX slew‑rate control. Could you confirm whether you are instead referring to other PMA analog settings, such as TX pre‑emphasis?

      Thanks for your clarification that you are referring to F-tile. As per my previous note, there is no configurable parameters related to TX slew‑rate control. Could you confirm whether you are instead referring to other PMA analog settings, such as TX pre‑emphasis? Thank you.

        Hi,

        I meant namely the slew rate. But we will need to change also some other of the PMA settings (like pre-emphasis, yes).  Can you please provide a list of the registers where these parameters can be reconfigured?

    Hi,

    I am referring to L_ and H-tiles, not F.

    We are already reconfiguring pre-emphasis and VOD, no issue with them.

    What I am asking here is about TX slew rate. We are already doing that with e.g. Arria 10 but now we need to do it also with Agilex 7. I am pretty sure there must be there as well a register for reconfiguring it.

        Hi,

         

        Sorry, my bad. I am referring to F-tiles and Agilex 7.

        I got confused since I have another issue related to Stratix 10 and L/H tile.

        But this issue is indeed referring to F-tiles and Agilex 7, sorry.
