Thanks for the warnings! I'm sure we'll be having more discussions when I get started on this in a few weeks.

I'm not sure yet either. I need to transfer relatively small volumes of data between multiple FPGA-based boards and a host CPU. I'll be using DMA, but have still to investigate what I'll need internal to the FPGA.

I'll ask for your advice when I take a look at the existing infrastructure.
